Set on the beautiful Hopton Court Estate in South Shropshire, our days offer traditional sport in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Many of our guns return year after year for the quality of the shooting, the hospitality and the stunning countryside.
Although wonderfully rural, we are still within easy travelling distance of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, making the shoot an ideal accessible escape to the countryside without a long journey.
The ground offers great variety, with drives across parkland, arable and woodland, producing sporting, shootable pheasant, partridge and duck. With the renowned Hopton Crown just on our doorstep - voted West Midlands Area Shooting Hotel of the Year 2019 - many guns choose to stay locally and gather there for a drink at the end of the day alongside the beaters and gamekeeping team. Guests often comment on the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that makes the shoot special.
We are always pleased to welcome non-shooting guests who would like to join the day socially, and our experienced and hardworking team of keepers, beaters and pickers-up take great pride in ensuring every day runs smoothly and is thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved.

Driven game shooting with David Morris Sporting is a traditional country field sport set in the heart of the South Shropshire countryside on the historic Hopton Court Estate. Dave has been part of the estate for over 30 years and has built a deep understanding of the land, its wildlife and the traditions that make a great shoot day.
Our days are run in the classic style, with a dedicated team all working together to present sporting birds over carefully planned drives. We take pride in maintaining the traditions of the countryside while offering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where both experienced guns and newcomers can enjoy a memorable day in the field.
Sport
The varied topography of the estate, with its mix of parkland, woodland, valleys and arable ground, allows us to present a wide variety of sporting birds. From challenging pheasants on drives such as Knowle Bank and Ethel’s to partridge over the valleys at Catherton, the aim is always to provide enjoyable, sporting shooting for our guests.

Conservation
Good shooting goes hand in hand with good conservation.
