The 2026 simulated game season is now well underway, and it has been a real pleasure to welcome back so many returning teams, alongside new guns joining us for the first time.
There’s always something special about the start of the season — fresh ground, keen shooting, and the familiar rhythm of a day out in the countryside. This year has been no exception.

A Proper Day in the Field
Our simulated game days are designed to reflect the feel of a traditional shoot, without the formality. The focus is on enjoyable, varied shooting in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Set across the rolling ground of the Hopton Court Estate, each drive offers something slightly different — from testing targets over woodland edges to more open drives where guns can really find their rhythm.
Whether joining as a full team or as part of a mixed group, the days have had a great balance of challenge and fun.

Good Company, Relaxed Atmosphere
One of the things we value most is the atmosphere on the day. It’s important to us that people feel welcome, whether they’ve been shooting with us for years or it’s their first visit.
There’s plenty of time between drives to chat, reset and enjoy the surroundings — something that often gets lost elsewhere. The feedback so far this season has been just that: relaxed, well-run days with a good sense of camaraderie.
Perfect for Groups and Corporate Days
We’ve seen a real mix this season — groups of friends, returning syndicates, and a number of corporate teams looking for something a bit different from the usual golf day.
Simulated game offers that ideal balance:
Engaging and active
Sociable without pressure
Accessible for a range of abilities
Within Easy Reach of Birmingham and the West Midlands
Located on the edge of the Shropshire Hills, Hopton Court is within easy travelling distance of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, making it an ideal venue for a day out without the need for overnight travel — although many choose to extend the experience locally.
Looking Ahead
With the season in full swing, we’re looking forward to the months ahead and welcoming more teams to the shoot.
If you’re considering a simulated game day this year — whether as a group of friends or a corporate event — we’d be delighted to have you join us.
